Lindsay Weatherread is a native of Dallas, Texas and was always interested in fashion, but her first love was dance. Formally trained since the age of 3, she won competitions on a regional and national level. She then continued on at Oklahoma City University with a dance scholarship and was a member of the "American Spirit Touring Dance Company" and taught dance for a number of years thereafter.
Realizing that she had developed an interest in fashion design, she subsequently attended El Centro Community College for Fashion and Pattern Design. She is now honored to be a member of the El Centro College Fashion Advisory Board. While still in school for Fashion Design, she was signed on by Link Artist Resources as a fashion stylist for print and film.
Her work can been seen in ads with clients including Domino magazine, Dallas Cowboys, UFC, FD!Luxe, Neiman Marcus, American Heart Association, Western and English, Target, JCPenney, Doritos,Tribeza and various well known personalities and musicians. She was the costume designer for the award winning “Dallas in Wonderland” cover for the Best of Dallas 2007 Observer, and was recently named Best Local Fashion Designer for 2008 by the Dallas Observer. L.Weatherread has been featured in Lucky magazine, D Magazine, Fashion Group International, Fashion by Texas Monthly, Indulge, W & E, Unsigned the Magazine and Good Day Texas.
Lindsay pushes her limits as a designer who wants to perfect the draping and fabric manipulation technique, and calls her unmistakable style “Origami for Your Body.” Creating an organic and non-organic line for women and baby, working as a fashion stylist, producer, and casting for the photo industry, L.Weatherread is sure to be a staple in the fashion and design world for years to come.
Lindsay also has a strong compassion for charitable causes and contributes to Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation, Center for Brain Health, DOTS terminally ill, TAPS, and other traumatic brain injury charities. Lindsay is currently the New Face and Development Director for The Campbell Agency in Dallas.
